Quartz, a G/O Media brand and leading business news and information site, announced the hiring of Rocio Fabbro as a staff writer. This follows the hiring of two new staff writers in February and a total of six in the last eight weeks.

Prior to joining Quartz, Fabbro was a breaking news reporter on The Messenger’s business team, covering labor, workplace, markets and banks. She previously interned at Foreign Policy, CNBC and Salon. Born in Buenos Aires and raised in Canada, Fabbro got her bachelor’s degree in journalism and international relations at New York University. She starts today, March 25.

“We are thrilled to welcome Rocio Fabbro to the Quartz team,” said Quartz editor in chief Dan Hirschhorn. “Rocio's diverse background and experience in covering critical areas such as labor and financial markets align seamlessly with our commitment to delivering insightful and impactful business news. Her addition further strengthens our editorial roster as Quartz continues its  strong 2024 audience growth momentum.”
