Announcement from Director of Photography Robert Miller, Deputy Director of Photography Sandra Stevenson and Senior Photo Assignment Editor Olivier Laurent:

We are excited to announce that Dominique Hildebrand is joining The Post as our new Climate & Environment Photo Assignment Editor.

Dominique was most recently a photo editor at National Geographic, where she worked on multiplatform stories, leading projects from print to digital surfaces both on and off platform. She was the visual lead for the September 2022 cover feature on America's land conservation strategy and led stories about natural disasters and extreme weather, including a compelling photo-led story on the little birds that might help us predict the intensity of hurricane seasons.

Additionally, Dominique partnered with Nat Geo’s social media team to curate daily posts while helping to manage a cohort of award-winning photojournalists, science photographers and lens-based creatives.

While juggling her responsibilities as a photo editor, she also co-chaired the organization’s LGBTQIA+ employee resource group.

Please join us in welcoming Dominique to The Post. Her first day is August 5.
