IFCN’s $12 million Global Fact Check Fund opens applications for second round of ‘GROW’ grants

The International Fact-Checking Network (IFCN) at the nonprofit Poynter Institute, a global leader in journalism, is now accepting applications for the second round of funding in 2024 to support fact-checking initiatives worldwide. 

Starting July 26, 2024, organizations may apply to the Global Fact Check Fund, backed by a $12 million grant from Google and YouTube. 

This phase, GROW 2024, aims to advance the operational capacity of organizations to scale their fact-checking efforts. The IFCN awarded $1 million to 20 fact-checking outlets in 19 countries during the previous round, GROW 2023. Awards are $50,000 per organization.
